  • Post Tensioning Structural Engineer

    Our client; a leading supplier of concrete post-tensioned solutions are now seeking structural engineers at various levels who have experience with PT methodologies. The ideal candidate’s will have hands on PT project experience and a Thorough understanding of structural behaviour especially with respect to reinforced concrete and post-tensioned concrete structures in particular PT slabs.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Work closely with building designers to achieve the best possible post-tensioned structure configuration for each floor size and loading requirement.
    • Provides and manage technical support to clients, department managers, and staff
    • Working with the assigned Draftsperson and Drafting Manager in the production of design and drawings in accordance with construction and design programs.
    • Liaise with the Clients Representative, Project Consulting Engineer, Architect and Services as appropriate to co-ordinate design and drawings.
    • Effectively communicate regularly with Client Representatives, Leading Hands and the Construction Manager.
    • Carry out site inspections when requested.

    Ideal Skills and Background:

    • University qualifications in Engineering will be an advantage but not essential
    • At least 5 years’ experience working with post-tensioned concrete structures
    • Experience working with PT slabs would be a major advantage
    • Knowledge of design software packages such as RAPT & RAM analysis software.
    • Demonstrated focus on meeting client requirements and changing processes and work priorities to ensure a high level of client satisfaction
